Officials search for missing hiker near Bozeman

GALLATIN COUNTY, Mont. — The Gallatin County Sheriff’s Office is asking for the public’s help in locating a missing hiker.

Sixty-three-year-old David Bucin was last seen in person on November 10th, but was reported missing on November 25th.

Officials say Bucin’s vehicle was located in the New World Gulch/Bear Canyon area southeast of Bozeman on November 26th.

It is reported that Bucin goes on hikes without notifying anyone of his whereabouts.

He also often has little contact with his family and friends for long periods of time.

Gallatin County Sheriff’s Office Search and Rescue continues to search the area for Bucin.
