Litter of kittens rescued from Wallingford fire

WALLINGFORD, Conn. (WTNH) — A resident and a litter of kittens were rescued from a fire Friday afternoon in Wallingford.

At 12:52 p.m., the Wallingford Fire Department, along with mutual aid from neighboring towns, responded to a heavy structure fire on Old Colony Road.

Firefighters extinguished the flames within an hour.

A search of the building revealed the resident, who was taken for medical examination, and kittens. One firefighter was also brought in to investigate.
