Awadhpuri police arrest drug dealer

An illegal drug smuggler arrested by Avadhpuri police claimed to be selling Pani Puri (Phoolki) cart, the municipal corporation seized his cart three times claiming it was an encroachment. Tired of this, he began smuggling marijuana.

Avadhpuri police recovered 1,200 kg of ganja worth Rs 22,000 from the accused.

The police have taken action against the accused under the NDPS Act.

ACP Deepak Nayak said that Awadhpuri police station received information that a person named Sushil Joshi was roaming around BDA colony, entering under the police station premises to sell ganja. When the police formed a team, surrounded and caught him, during interrogation the accused revealed that he was a resident of Jhansi UP.

A few years ago, he came to Bhopal to take up the business of Pani Puri (Phoolki). He used to run a Pani Puri cart in Awadhpuri area of ​​the city. However, municipal corporation officials repeatedly snatched the cart from him on the pretext of encroachment.
