The message said: “Trump is allowing all of his guests he invites to spend the night at Mar-a-Lago. He made Trudeau spend last night in a hotel. Trump despises Trudeau as much as we do.” Mar-a-Lago is Donald Trump’s Florida estate where all the action takes place after election night.
Justin Trudeau’s visit to Mar-a-Lago was unexpected and hastily decided. This followed Donald Trump’s announcement on social media that the US would impose a 25 percent tariff on Canada and Mexico as the two countries send illegal immigrants and drugs to the US. Both the Canadian Prime Minister and the Mexican President responded quickly and held positive talks with Trump.

Trudeau joined Donald Trump for dinner and stayed overnight in Florida. He was seen leaving a Florida hotel in West Palm Beach on Saturday morning. Based on this claim in the viral tweet, it cannot be established that Trump did not allow him to stay overnight at Mar-a-Lago. Trudeau was also accompanied by many Canadian officials, including Public Safety Minister Dominic LeBlanc, who is responsible for border security, and Trudeau’s chief of staff, Katie Telford.
