Small dog rescued from fire in Myrtle Beach high-rise hotel room

MYRTLE BEACH, S.C. (WBTW) — A small dog is expected to survive after being rescued from a room fire at the Palace Resort, authorities said Saturday.

The Myrtle Beach Fire Department was dispatched to the Palace Resort at 1605 S. Ocean Blvd. for an incident inside the room.

Officials said no one was injured, but the small dog suffered smoke inhalation. He was taken to a local veterinary clinic for further treatment.
